Totally agree! Helped me focus on fueling my body instead of folding to my sugar addiction

I work hard to stay strong, resistance train (heavy), and run a few times a week. I’ve battled so hard without results. GLP-1 is an assistant to see results and I continue to work hard. 1/2

I think exercise and nutrition education is the responsible next step. Glp1 has benefited me so much that the weight loss(which I haven’t experienced in months) is secondary. I’m mentally more healthy

I agree and the muscle loss isn’t talked about enough especially for aging women. I don’t think GLP-1’s are bad I just worry about the fixation on being skinny

I’ve been off for 2 months & haven’t gained any weight. I watch my food intake & exercise 3 to 4 times a week. I’m keeping a close eye on it though.

I’m using in conjunction with diet, exercise, after 3 years of therapy, and paired with a dietician. I didn’t have all of those before and I actually like myself now. But want to learn how to take

Actually, bc of my pre-diabetes I will be on a GLP1 for the rest of my life. It’s like if you have high blood pressure and you get it under control, you’re staying on that medication because it works

Elder millennial here: GLP1 helped me out of toxic diet culture and negative thoughts. Able to focus on eating healthy and normally.

I read that most people who diet end up gaining more weight back than they lost. after yo-yo dieting since I was 16 years old I finally stopped and I've maintained consistency through my 30s.

I can see how these medications can be misused, however, for many of us it will be a lifelong medication. I “put in the work” for years with exercise and trying to find a healthy, sustainable diet, to the point that I ended with a full blown eating disorder and a disordered relationship with exercise. These meds have helped me to see that I wasn’t the problem, I do have willpower, and my body simply has a metabolic disorder that needed to be treated.

Amanda | Style After Hours :
People want to talk about the negative effects of a GLP-1, but forget about the lifelong negativity and physical effects of carrying all the extra weight over all these years.

There’s nothing specific to GLP-1 medications that make you lose muscle mass when you lose weight. And for many people, yes, it’s a lifelong medication just like other chronic disease medications

GLP 1s help me with the disease of obesity. I’m never going off. If I did, I would become obese and diabetic and need to be in GLPs. They’re not a diet drug, they help with inflammation, PCOS, heart

I will be on it for the rest of my life just like I take my meds for anxiety and take my meds for migraines. That is my game plan. And I will continue to go to the gym and do strength training. And I will feel so much better that I don’t have to excessively diet and kill myself in the gym to not lose any weight or inflammation. I can actually see results after never being able to before.
