Enjoy!!! 🍁🥧🤩 #applepie #homemade #fall #pie Apple Pie Ingredients: 8 apples, or as needed to fill the pie crust 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp allspice 1/2 cup unsalted butter 3 tbsp all-purpose flour 1 cup white sugar 1/4 cup water 1 (9 inch) double-crust pie crust Directions: 1. Peel and core apples and thinly slice. Place in a bowl and toss with the cinnamon and allspice. Set aside. 2. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. 3. Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and stir to form a paste; cook until fragrant, about 1 to 2 minutes. Add sugar and water; bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir the sugar mixture into the sliced apples. 4. Press one pie crust into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan. 5. Pour the apple mixture evenly into the bottom crust. 6. Place top pie crust on top of apples, cutting vents on top and crimping the edge. 7. With a spoon or pastry brush, spread about a tablespoon of milk over the crust just to moisten it slightly and then sprinkle a spoonful of sugar evenly over the top. 8. Bake in the 425 degrees preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce the temperature to 350 degrees and continue baking until apples are soft, the top is lightly browned, and the filling is bubbling out of the top crust, about 30 to 40 minutes.
