@sophiemorrisofficial: This is a really good example of why it’s so important to be aware of what’s in the packaged food you’re buying! It’s so easy to assume all these frozen chips in Aldi, especially the ones that are all under the same brand ‘Four Seasons’, would be pretty much the same! In fact if we were to believe the packaging, the ‘specially selected’ chunky oven chips would appear to definitely be the most premium and it would be reasonable to assume these would have the best ingredients! But as you can see this is not the case! When you start to read ingredients lists you realise that sometimes the difference between the same kind of packaged food (ie frozen chips) can be quite extreme! Like the difference between the first ‘four seasons’ frozen chips in this video which are very ultra processed, and the last ‘four seasons’ frozen chips which are made with simply potatoes and oil and so are more minimally processed. (ie I could technically buy these two ingredients and make these chips at home) By making this simple swap when buying frozen chips, you’re reducing your intake of ultra processed foods which is a very positive thing for your health. And saving money as these were the cheapest option out of them all. 🙌 We as consumers are powerful!! The more of these swaps we ALL make, the more the big food companies will rethink what they put into the foods that make up our food system. 💪💪 #ultraprocessedfood #cleverswaps #frozenchips #sophiesswaps #readlabels #foodlabels
that's amazing, I had no idea there so many unnecessary additives in Frozen chips 🤯 Love your content ❤️

You're comparing oven chips to fry chips, fry chips are basically potato because you're going to fry them in oil. Oven chips have been par cooked and have an oil coating to help with oven cooking.

I don't think she fully understands the term highly processed. The potato content isn't directly correlated to ultra processed
