😍 CHICKEN + WAFFLE SANDWICH w/ SPICY MAPLE BUTTER SAUCE ‼️ I’ve had chicken and waffles one time before making these, and they didn’t have anything on this combination made with some awesome @goodranchers chicken breasts. I only made 2 sandwiches here, so adjust your measurements accordingly to make more. Let’s get to it! INGREDIENTS: -1 pound chicken breasts -1.5 cups olive oil for frying BUTTERMILK BRINE: -1.5 cups milk -2 tsp salt -1 tsp onion powder -1 tsp garlic powder -1 tsp paprika FLOUR CRUST -2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour -2 tbsp corn starch -1 tsp baking powder -1 tsp garlic powder -1 tsp onion powder -1 tsp salt -1 tsp black pepper WAFFLE BATTER (also makes great banana pancakes): -2 bananas, mashed -2 tbsp brown sugar -2 tsp baking soda -2.5 cups unbleached all-purpose flour -1/2 tsp salt -2 cups milk SPICY HONEY BUTTER: -1/4 maple syrup -2 tbsp butter -1/2 tsp salt -1 tbsp hot sauce of choice, optional DIRECTIONS: 1.) Mix buttermilk ingredients together in a large bowl. 2.) Pound chicken breasts thin, slice in half, and then place into buttermilk. Mix to combine. Place in fridge. 3.) Mix all your flour crust ingredients together. Set aside. 4.) Mix all your waffle ingredients together. Add milk to reach desired consistency. 5.) Begin making your waffles. I love my little @bydash waffle maker! 6.) Remove chicken from fridge. Remove chicken from buttermilk one at a time and coat with flour. Place onto a plate and repeat until done. 7.) Heat oil in a pan and begin frying chicken in batches. Place onto paper towel to cool. 8.) Lay down a waffle, top with chicken. Drizzle with maple sauce and top with remaining waffle. Enjoy! 9.)
