is it a simple or a martial weapon? i think this would be an epic monk weapon, but i only think a couple subclasses allow martial weapon usage

1d4 is the same damage as a sling I'd say you change it to a 5 lb weight (wizards can't use it with magehand or catapult that way) turn it to 1d6 or 1d8 (versatile) Add the finesse weapon tag to it

Imagine a monk fighter who doesn’t use conventional weapons just pulling this out mid-fight. I think I need to have this in my next campaign, either as an npc or player.
