I am from the exact region where they cut the trees, although IKEA claims that they are doing everything legally, the legislation lacks in environmental protection so they can get around a lot of things. The thing that annoys me most is that this big company doesn’t plant trees back in those huge parcels where they razored up everything

We have 10x more trees than stars in the milky way. It would take IKEA almost 100.000 years to deforest the planet. But in reality much longer since new trees are growing in 100.000 years

You can't even shop second hand cause thrifting has become a luxury thing and prices get hiked to an extreme...I hate having to do research on everything I buy to not be a hypocrite, it's exhausting.

I moved to Denmark this year and I had to buy a lot of very cheap furniture from Ikea but I felt really disappointed because in this country there’s a lot of second hand store where you can ⬇️

I'm Romanian and I had no idea they have involvment in our forests. I can promise you it's not sustainable, we have been complaining about our trees being cut for abt 15 yrs.

on top of that ikea has cheap furniture for expensive prices. my brimnes bed broke down in just 4 years of use. don't buy from ikea, spend your money somewhere else.
