Hatred for book four cannot stand in my home it set such a precursor for Will to be a strategist for book 5-6 (I refuse to re-read 7 😭) and showed how resourceful the Rangers actually are and how easily they turn things to their favor! I understand, it’s not as epic as ones like Halts Peril or Emperor of Nihon-ja but it hold so much character display and emotion

Sorcerer of the North was my least favorite, not for it being bad or anything but I'm an audio book enjoyer and it's the only book that had a different narrator and he was baaad

I reread book 4 regularly just for the Halt and Will reunion scene, but I really don’t like Alyss and so don’t read 5/6 much 🤷♀️

I personally liked Wills recovery scenes in icebound land. Evanlyn was a character that bothered me until I realized she was Princess. I didn’t like the way she acted but it made sense for her

Royal Ranger was okay. Next book, idk if I just got older and better at pattern recognition or the writing went downhill, cause I predicted the whole plot from the first chapter. Such a boring read

quite recal for royal rangers i think is pretty solid, Will's wife dies, Will's goes batman on murders, Horace's Daughter being a unruly tomboy, gets sent to Will to become 'Royal Ranger'
