@drheejink: Have This? Use That Duo! (Part 7) Here are some great DUO available over-the-counter for some common skincare concerns. Remember, these are suggestions and not medical advice. Everyone’s skin responds differently to skincare products, -Have Acne? Try using a benzoyl peroxide cleanser 4% and adapalene gel (retinoid). I usually recommend cerave BP cleanser or Panoxyl and differin or la roche posay adapalene gel. Make sure to use a pea-sized amount pf adapalene gel to the whole face, start 2 times per week, and gradually increase up to every night if your skin tolerates! -Have Stretch marks? Try using retinol body lotion and thick moisturizers with cica/centella. This can be tough to treat especially if there is lot of thinning or atrophy of skin. Sometimes, you may eventually need procedural treatments like Microneedling or laser for improvement. Your dermatologist can also prescribe stronger retinoid which requires prescription. -Have Body hyperpigmentation? Try using AHA/BHA pads to help chemically exfoliate the area and rich moisturizers with urea. Start out using the exfoliant pads 2 times per week and always moisturize to reduce any dryness.
