if you raise expectations, children will often rise to it. it's parents usually who feel uncomfortable about it and worry it will highlight their inadequate parenting

How does this work with pupils with undiagnosed ADHD etc? Not saying it causes bad behaviour but if they aren’t performing as well as they should be and get themselves in trouble for being too chatty

Best school in my opinion, my three children thrived, no nonsense school, they say how it is, they are strict which is needed these days. Teachers are brilliant, and the children are respectful.

My concern about strict boys' schools is the lack of focus on pastoral care - particularly mental health and depression which is rife - compared to girls' schools.

what is strict? having a high expectation. we as adults have our performance reviewed all the time. I have alot of respect for Mr Cefai a man who wants the best for each every student and staff too.
