What pack do you think new players should invest in? My gf is starting to play right now and she's a little bit overwhelmed by the amount of possibilities, and also, opening one of each pack can make you end up with not so good pulls

my go to partners are vaporeon and non ex articuno. they flow really well and the articuno is cheap to move out and the vaporeon can distribute energy to whoever the best attacker is for the situation

I still think vaporeon is great for these high energy water decks because now I can power up an active articuno and have it apply pressure without having to worry about my benched mons energy

Yea but celebi and mewtwo decks counter this and they’re common they would rely on you stalling to get them ramping up

Blaistoise feels like the better option. You’re gonna be stalling for just about the same time y not go for the xtra damage

I think the issue would be if you start with two magicarps, you could be out of the game before you can even power up gyarados

this is what I've been saying from the start, for a stage 1 pokemon it's raw stats are insane. and that's ignoring how much utility water has as a type atm which only makes it better.
