If you feel like you’re struggling in life, there’s something I want you to realize. Everything you see and hear in this video, from my Ferrari to the clouds and the mountains ahead of me, is temporary. The feeling of the beautiful red leather and the powerful sound of the V12 climbing in RPMs, it’ll all eventually become weathered, undesirable and go in the trash one day, probably just a few years from now. The only thing in this moment that does not fade is the word of God playing through my speakers. Islam has a word for what I have in my life, “rizq”. Rizq means what God has written for you long before you were ever born, your provision. It includes money, health, opportunities, protection, the people you love, and the doors God opens for you. Some of it looks obvious, like this car. Most of it stays hidden, like the health you wake up with everyday, the happiness in your heart, or the strength to keep your character clean when nobody is watching. There’s a reminder in the Quran that will always stay with me no matter what. You came into this life with nothing, and you will leave with nothing. You will not take the car, the watch, the status, or the applause. You will take your deeds, good and bad. You will take your intentions. You will take how you treated people when you had power, options, and comfort. If you’re still reading this, I want you to remember two things. First, humility. Blessings do not prove you are better. Blessings test who you are. God can give you more, and God can take it all away. What matters is how you carried yourself while you had it. Did you stay grounded. Did you stay grateful. Did you stay soft toward people even when you needed no one. Did you use what you had to help someone who had less. Did you go back to help those who helped you on your journey. Did you honor your parents. Did you protect your family. Did you become a real provider, a real rock, not just with your words, but with your actions. Second, peace. Do not let these temporary things steal the peace from your life, or allow you to take unethical measures to attain them. The pleasure from these items fades really fast. But if you took advantage of people, if you cheated people, if you lied to get there, that stays on your record forever. If you tie your happiness to things you cannot keep, you will live anxious. You will constantly chase. You will constantly compare. And you constantly feel empty inside no matter how much you accomplish. I’m writing this as a message to anyone who feels behind, unaccomplished or like a failure in life. Don’t let anything you see on social media affect you in these ways. Someone else’s journey has absolutely nothing to do with your journey. As someone who feels deeply blessed. I have seen what success looks like up close, Alhumdulillah. I have felt what it feels like to get what you once only dreamt about. And I’m telling you, with complete honesty, none of the feelings of pleasure from those material things lasted longer than 5 minutes. The only thing in life that will always continue to bring true happiness is your relationship with God. That relationship shapes your life here in the world. It pushes you to live a life of discipline. It pushes you to serve others around you. It pushes you to control your ego. It pushes you to be respectful to your parents, loyal to your family, dependable when it counts, and generous. Especially when nobody is watching. And it gives you something no car, no watch, no house, and no amount of money can give you. Purpose. If you are Muslim, let this be a reminder to keep your heart in the right place, no matter what God puts in your hands. If you are not Muslim. I appreciate you for reading this far into my rant. Just takeaway a one thing. Islam is not about rejecting the world. Islam is about keeping the world in its place. Enjoy your blessings. Stay grateful. Stay humble. Alhumdulillah always. Love you all, Shah
