Make sure if you go to a salon anytime soon that you tell them you have used box dye bc I made that mistake and didn’t tell her and my hair got fried off and took over 4 years to grow back 😭

as someone who has dyed their hair themselves since they were 12, if there is no bleach in the box dye it won’t lighten it at all because color doesn’t lift color unless it’s high lift color :(

you should try to Garnier!! their lightest blonde shade has a subtle bleaching effect it works SO good on dark roots

I’d suggest using a purple shampoo and conditioner if you’re not already. Redken was my go to when I had blonde hair

It looks more uniform but you need to use bleach or a dye with bleach to lift if you want lighter

Did you use blonde dye? If you wanted your hair lighter you have to use bleach because dye does not lift color

If u want it to lighten up then use the brand of dark & lovely .. they have a few boxes to choose from that will lift your blonde lighter
