I do almost all handwritten assignments now. At least rough drafts. Final papers can be typed after I see a rough draft.

Ditto. I had a student email me at midnight the day before grades were due with all of their missing assignments with no explanation. this is for a college class.

Once had the "what can I do to bring my grade up?" the day before grades for the semester. They had a 0%. My response: "do literally anything".

Like- we have deadlines too! The quarter closes when admin locks the grading program. It's not up to us.
