@pepper.steps: and now i get to share my love for nature and the outdoors with you folks here. WHICH I LITERALLY NEVER BELIEVED WOULD BE POSSIBLE!!! AND ALSO WHAT EVEN IS GENDER. a lot of people tend to assume that i have a degree in biology or some sort of environmental science related degree... well, nope! it's funny, i was actually en route to becoming a clinical forensic psychologist- i thought i wanted to be a prof at a university! and i think a huge part of my choice to do psychology in the first place was informed by my younger self being made to believe that i wasn't "smart enough" to do a "hard science" (i HATE the terms hard vs. soft science, but for the purposes of a quick explanation, i'm gunna use them here.) and it's true that i really do struggle with chemistry and some of the more complex topics you find in biology and environmental sciences, but that doesn't mean there isn't a career out there for me that could allow me to merge the outdoors and education- and in a manner that is more accessible, that PUSHES FOR INCLUSIVITY YAY. and, my dear friends, it is with you, that i think i may have finally found that route. i LOVE you. #nature #Outdoors #outdoorsy #naturelover #trees #weird #weirdo #actuallyautistic #autism #autistic #adhd #neurodivergent #path #trail #trails #Hiking #natureeducation #ecology #biology #environment #gendernorms #womeninstem #stem #education #adventure #explore #discovery #fyp #reels #shorts ib: lizemopetey
