I live in Europe and I still search for those cheap flights. Together with the taxes and fees the cheapest ticket I ever found was around 200 € with only carry on. It depends on the airports guys!

long distance driving is just not necessary here. Much easier to take a train. the US does not have that option for most places. I love a long train ride, so much more relaxing than sitting in a car.

I heard that US doesn't have the cheap lines like Ryanair and Wizzair. The secret is that the flights are cheap but you get like minimal comfort and you have to pay for any additionals 1/2

In DK (and I dare say most of Scandinavia) it’s considered absolutely rude to stare at anyone, so it really depends on the country and whatever standards they find acceptable.
