I wonder if it would be possible to make a simular mechanism for the firing pin in a real gun. No chance of the firing pin slipping for an accidental discharge, nothing can hit the back of the firing pin/hammer, assuming it stays fully enclosed, so it literally can not fire, even with improper handling, unless the trigger is pulled. Combine it with a normal trigger safety and you may have one of the safest guns out there
