I’m sure she was attempting to climb out of bed, putting the table under and the bed in lowest position was a restraint to keep her in bed

They probably repositioned her numerous times throughout the day already… she most likely keeps sliding like that on her own, not an excuse to leave her like that but I’m sure the next time someone went into the room they wouldn’t leave her like that

you guys literally have no idea how difficult it is to take care of a dementia patient most nursing homes will give one aid 12 to 14 patients at one time and all of them are confused / combative/ some type of behavioral issues. we are not miracle workers the state needs to allow us to have more staff

That's not neglect. Patients position themselves that way with dementia all of the time. I've seen neglect, and toue mom is doing fantastic ❤️

1 nurse and 3 CNA to 40 residents. Mind you most of these residents are total care I.e. you have to feed them and do everything for them. The expectations on staff are unrealistic.

none of the people making comments worked in a missing home. Staff do the best they can. Family needs to help when able. Some tasks are impossible to accomplish but we keep trying.

I worked in a long term care home for a short period of time, they are all understaffed, overworked and it’s unfortunate because most people need 24/7 care. She looked so happy to see you

Think about this…. If YOU CANT take care of them and it’s only you with one person. Imagine what it’s like for one of us for 20! It’s not our fault we are not supplied with enough staff to properly care for others. Our system is designed to fail. Do I believe we have bad medical employees, yes. But that starts at the top of the chain not the bottom. Start with administration and ask them to supply us with more hands and it actually be followed through. Also it’s administration that hired these people. While yes back employees should be held accountable maybe these office folks should be too.
