I don’t think age matters, it’s the level of emotional maturity of both parents during this. They can either make this seamless or the worst time of your life with how they both handle the divorce.

My parents split up 10 years ago (mom left dad) and he’s heartbroken forever. He’s never divorced her because he gets amazing healthcare and doesn’t want to leave her without. Hes a great guy.
