@woodpeckers.tools: Woodpeckers Add-an-Inch Block provides a safe and accurate way to make multiple short cross-cuts. Clamp the block to your rip fence well in front of the blade, then slide your stock to the block and make the cut. The offset between the block and the fence protects against trapping the cut pieces between the blade and the fence. As a bonus, since the block is exactly one inch wide, you can use the scale on your rip fence to set the desired dimension...just add an inch, set the fence and get ready to cut stacks of identical blocks. Clamping a block to your fence isn’t a new idea, but by incorporating two low-profile ways to attach it to your fence and making the block exactly one inch, we’ve made the process faster and more convenient. Attaching the Add-an-Inch Block to your fence couldn’t be simpler. There’s a slot milled in the back to receive a standard track clamp. And, if you have Woodpeckers Auxiliary Rip Fence, there are counter-bored holes aligned to the T-slots in Woodpeckers Super Track. We’ve included track nuts and socket-head cap screws that are just the right length. Either way...track clamp or cap screws...there’s nothing on the face of your block to interfere with your cutting operation. We made sure the Add-an-Inch would be useful even when you’re not cutting small pieces. It’s precision-machined to 1” x 2” x 3”. Use it as a reliable dimension gauge or offset wherever you need one of those three dimensions. It’s also milled square to the same tolerance as our woodworking squares, so you can use it in many of the same places... setting machines or checking the inside of a drawer assembly, for example. And, the track clamp slot makes it a convenient stop block you can use on just about any fence on any machine. To learn more or order yours today, click the link in bio!
