They are the perfect homemade natural remedy when you feel under the weather and are ideal for the colder months 🥶 INGREDIENTS: 2 x cups water 2 x cups sugar (we used jaggery cane sugar) 1/2 x cup corn starch for coating the drops 4 x tbsp herbs (fresh or dry) 2 x tbsp fennel seeds 1 x tbsp liquorice root INSTRUCTIONS: - Add your herbs and spices to a pan, cover with hot water, and let them infuse for 30 minutes. - Strain the herbs and set them aside for making tea. - In the liquid, add the jaggery sugar. - Let it melt and come to a boil. - Allow it to reduce until you have a sticky paste. - Take it off the stove 2-3 times to avoid burning, and keep stirring; it may take up to 20 minutes. - Use cold water and drop a bit of the paste to check if it's the right consistency. - Pour it over a silicone mould or mat. - Let it cool. - Coat it in corn starch to prevent sticking. - Store in an airtight container in a cool space. - You can get creative and change the herbs with other ingredients like ginger or citrus. #candy #cough #naturalcandy #naturalremedy #DIY #homemade #herbs #natural #fyp
