Coach during the call, correct at the station. Performance can be a big reflection of leadership. Be a good, encouraging, accountable leader. You messing up your communication can be just as bad.

I had great relationships with the rural agencies I would respond to. If you treat them with respect and professionalism, giving them a sense of satisfaction for the work they do, they’ll take poor feedback graciously.

Pt care comes before any “tuning up” happens. It should happen in the ambulance bay after the call. Hold them accountable but Don’t be that guy. You’ll get more respect treating them like an adult.
