We’ve all seen the viral pickle dip eaten with chips. I tried it, liked it, but I wasn’t convinced enough to make a whole video about it… until I got the 💡. What if I took everything from that dip & turned it into a crispy chicken sandwich? And instead of eating the chips with the dip, I’d use them to make the chicken extra crunchy. Steps: Brine the chicken: Flatten a chicken breast to an even thickness, then soak it in pickle juice for a few hours. It adds flavour & helps keep the chicken juicy. Make the pickle dip: Cook chopped bacon until crispy. Drain it, let it cool, & save the bacon fat for later. Finely chop the pickles & mix with spring onion, crispy bacon, mayonnaise, sour cream, Dijon mustard, & ranch seasoning. Refrigerate until ready to use. Coat & fry the chicken: Mix flour & cornstarch with your seasoning. Coat the chicken in the flour mixture, dip it in beaten egg, then coat it again — this time with crushed potato chips mixed into the flour. Fry until golden, crispy, & cooked through. Build the sandwich: Top the fried chicken with hot honey then cheese. Toast your buns in the reserved bacon fat, then layer on the pickle dip, chicken, & another generous spoonful of sauce. And just like that, a viral dip turned into one seriously indulgent chicken sandwich. Crispy, creamy, tangy, smoky… you’ll get it when you try it. Ingredients: Chicken: 1 chicken breast Pickle juice, enough to cover 1 cup flour ½ cup cornstarch 1 egg Bag of chips, crushed Salt, pepper, paprika & garlic powder, to taste Oil, for frying Pickle Dip: ½ cup pickles, finely chopped 2 spring onions, finely chopped 100g bacon ½ cup mayonnaise ¼ cup sour cream 1 tsp Dijon mustard Ranch Seasoning: 1 tsp dried parsley 1 tsp dried dill 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp onion powder ½ tsp salt ½ tsp black pepper
