i feel like this fundamentally misunderstands what chaos is? chaos is still deterministic. if you start at one point, of course you can create some initial conditions that return you to that point

Read about the three-body problem. Your discrete numerical integration might be deterministic but it doesn't 100% represent reality. Chaos quickly causes any algorithm to diverge.
