Neti Neti - Neither this or nor that This powerful philosophy of Neti Neti comes from Upanishads and was broadly propagated by Adi Shankarachraya. Net Neti in jnana Yoga is a practice of realising Brahman by dismissing all that comes from MAYA that is the illusion of your mind. This practice was adopted in Buddhism as a powerful meditation technique. Through this process of intense introspection, one discovers that we are not limited to our bodies, emotions, or minds, for our true nature is actually boundless and numinous. The mind’s nature is to oscillate and lure you into the thoughts. NETI NETI is a practice of responding your mind with “I am not this” until the mind runs out of thoughts and is forced to be silent Important Practice Notes - Perform some hip opener and spine stretches before beginning the practice - Based on how active your mind is, it make take some time to achieve a silence state of mind - Silent state may last for a very short period in the beginning but as you practice more the time will increase - Even after you say “I am not this thought” you may find yourself engaging with the thoughts again and again. As soon as you realise come back to your breath - In the beginning the focus point should be the tip of nose to watch your breath and as the mind stabilizes, bring attention in between your eyebrows (Bhrumadhya) - As your mind wanders, stay aware and bring it back to the eyebrow centre - If you feel tension in your forehead by fixing gaze in the eyebrow centre, just watch your breath. You See you on the mat Hari Aum Tat Sat 🙏🏻 #meditation #meditations #meditationtime #meditate #yogaformentalhealth #pranayama #breathwork #yogaonline #breathworkhealing #samanashakti #samana #yoga #yogi #mind #soul
