It was definitely needed for units that isn't boothill 💀 I dabbled a little bit in break before superbreak the downtime on enemies is too much that you're better off using a crit dps.

Boothill isn't necessarily a hybrid carry, although with his major trace, crit rate body, and Sunday (which is optimal), he gets up to ~87% cr without substats.

as a day 1 boothill user to this day idk how to use him but i still do and manage to hit like 300k so he could do more if i used him properly and had his proper team( ie ruan mei or a built bronya)

Yes please pull boothill I have horib’e artifacts and horrible light cone and he kills anyone super easily and I don’t even have Ruan mei he is super easy and fun to play with so pull boothill

Until Super Break, regular break was only there for a small bit of extra dmg, slow enemies down, and proc break effects for character mechanics.

at the end of the day every archetype has to be about damage and how easy it is to access it, maybe if super break wasn't this avaliable thanks to harmony mc we wouldn't see it as often idk

break felt like an afterthought until SB. ig if they made enemies having multiple toughness bars the norm it'd be more viable. or a character that can only do absurd damage when the enemy is broken.

i feel like super break was actually needed alot tho. like before super break u would break the enemy once, then wait for it to get its bar back then repeat. Break was VERY useless imo before SB too

I hate it. Superbreak feels like dendro HSR. It's way overturned, and it's pushed way too aggressively, shafting you if you didn't pull for that one particular character.

most boothil teams dont' use tbh, and he doesn't have superbreak damage in his kit but normal Break damage 🤓

the only way break was gonna survive outside of super break would be quantum break. if you've seen the silver wolf's built on break it would tons of damage.
