@quicksnowteach: This is literally a cheat code for every snowboarder! Pedaling is when you change the board's position mostly with your feet. The feet are the closest part of your body to the board, and their movement has a strong effect on your riding. Imagine that you have pedals under your feet, similar to car pedals. On the heel edge, push the pedals with your toes. On the toe edge, push the pedals with your heels. To turn from the heel edge, smoothly push the front pedal, and then the back pedal. After the edge change, lift up the front pedal, followed by the back pedal. Do the same for the turn from the toe edge. Smoothly push the front pedal, and then the back pedal. After the edge change, lift your up the front pedal, followed by the back pedal. Using your feet to control the snowboard is the fastest way to direct it in your desired direction and doesn't require as much energy. Applying pedaling into your riding helps you manage the snowboard more effectively and maintain control.

Joost :
Don't board from the ankle, board from the knee's
Boarding from the ankle will lead to unnecessary muscle pain and your ankles are locked by the boots anyway

nope, don't do this unless you want to catch an edge. Always lean into the mountain, use front leg to steer with open shoulders. Lean into both heels to heel edge or both toes to toe edge. No pedaling

Do I apply more weight to my lead leg or back leg? My weight should be shifted more forward or in the middle of my board
