Ppl think you need a yard to be a good dog owner but I think the opposite. Ppl in Apts are more intentional about exercise and enrichment for their dog. Putting a dog in a yard doesn’t do anything

i have a 170lb senior great dane in a 1d/1bath apt! you’re FINE! my giant beeed does AMAZING! We go out alll the time & my lifestyle matches his! our “backyard” is 4 miles of trails too! YOURE GREAT!

I used to get this all the time when I lived in a tiny NYC apt with my 65 pound husky - she was the happiest pup ever! Multiple walks, trips to the dog park, and came with me to work often!

Do you find the new dog has helped you in your loss? I had an intense loss from my dog in June and I miss it but wasn’t sure how it would “mesh” with my grieving. Sorry for your loss and thank you for being vulnerable.
