Ugh mil but also big present should come from parents and smaller gifts from Santa so when they go to school and tell less fortunate kids what Santa got him they don’t feel let down by Santa

as a MIL I've bought the BIG gift but left w mom to decide if santa or mom take the credit bcause mom couldn't afford it. it dont matter as long as kids are happy & believe the magic.

When mine were little I always told my dad the "big gift" they wanted. My parents don't live close and kids always loved that grandpa and grandma knew exactly what they wanted.

Please take credit and give it from mom and dad. Lots of kids only get small things from Santa and might wonder why someone got a Nintendo but Santa only brought them socks.

yeah, my MIL always had to "one up me" . tried not to let it bother me but as a single mom who scrapped every penny just to get them something, the one year I got lucky and could buy them

as a mom now first year without Santa try to not give the big gift from santa. pick something on the list just not the most important. but you do you just easier to explain why I gave santa credit.
