@susielake: Making Monkey bread takes me right back to my childhood. I grew up baking with my mom and this was one of my absolute favorites! It’s such a yummy treat anytime, but I love having it for a holiday breakfast like Christmas morning. It’s not too time consuming to make and it’s so delicious! Recipe: 24 oz of refrigerated biscuit dough 1 cup sugar 2 tsp cinnamon 1 cup of butter ½ cup brown sugar Instructions: Separate biscuit dough and cut into 4 equal pieces. Mix 1 cup of sugar and 2 tsp of cinnamon in a bowl. Drop the pieces of dough into the bowl and coat each piece thoroughly with the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Evenly arrange the biscuit pieces into a prepared bundt pan (heavily greased with butter) To make the syrup, combine ½ cup brown sugar with 1 cup of butter in a saucepan. Add in ½ of the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture. Heat the mixture up until the butter melts and the mixture is just beginning to boil so that the sugar is dissolved. Carefully drizzle the syrup mixture over the dough pieces. Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes or until the dough in the middle is 190 degrees. Let it cool for about 5 minutes. Cover the pan with a large plate and very carefully flip it over.
