Happens to me at every job. I don’t divulge anything personal except death leave. Nothing. Every gossip brought to me gets answered with, “aww. Really? That too bad.” Then I disengage.

This happened to me when I worked at a theater. On my evaluation it said “ get out of your shell.” I quit 2 weeks later. I don’t have time for that immature mentality. Now I get paid 3x somewhere else

Totally disagree. From my experience, folks who are quiet, never volunteer, give input on projects are just coasting and not carrying their weight

If someone is more quieter and doesn’t meet metrics because they work in sales. Then that’s an issue. You can do your tasks but not meeting goals because not engaging then it’s an issue.
