Get a locking door handle out add a lock to the outside of the door. Or a child proofing door knob.

Replace door handle with door knob. My cat does the same thing but can’t with door knob. Can get at Walmart and not too expensive

If the door opens outwards you can just block it with something heavy, otherwise get some command strips and put them so the door is being held closed with a hair tie

my cat also knows how to open door handles! you can buy child locks for them that make it so they cant pull them down to open them ◡̈

my cat opens doors too. we found something on amazon that attatched to the door and sits under the door knob, and so the cat can’t open it, but we can open it by lifting the handle upwards

My cat can open the long handle ones. He can’t open the knob handles. Switch to a knob handle

my doors dont latch, we use a 10lb weight on a small rope and pull the rope to move the weight in front of the door (does not work on carpet)

my cat can only open straight door handles, so we replaced them with round ones which are too smooth for him to open

tape a cardboard box over the knob? put a heavy weight against whichever way the door swings so he can't push it open?

i have baby locks on some of my doors for my cats, you can get ones that connect from the door itself (not handle) to the wall

i got a door buddy from amazon when i had to keep my cats litter boxes away from my dogs! They're adjustable and useful for more than just that :)
