"O Come All Ye Faithful" (Genre: indietronica) This hymn is also known as "Adeste Fideles", which is Latin for "Oh Come All You Faithful". The actual composer and lyricist for this carol is unknown. The song is at least over 400 years old. Some attribute it to John Reading (1645–1692), others to King John IV of Portugal (1604–1656), and still others to John Francis Wade (1711–1786). The first printed version was in Latin and published by Wade in 1751. The priest Frederick Oakeley translated the carol into English in 1841. This piece depicts the birth of Christ and calls out to the faithful - come and adore the newborn King! The Messiah, the Word made flesh has come to dwell among us.
