I opened their tablet, signed in to stuff, downloaded apps and connected their Bluetooth headphones. I also downloaded my sons new games on his switch. 😂 I do need to buy batteries

I don’t have kids but my dad taught me to give gifts with batteries installed and already assembled. The only exception is my nephew who enjoys helping build.
