Love this film! "Don't he never sleep?" "Is you their Pap?" I know the dialog by heart. Mitchum put out a successful gospel album after the film.

I loved Night of the Hunter. My favorite scene is when Lilian Gish's character is sitting in the house with the shotgun while Robert Mitchum's character is outside singing and she joins in. 🥰
