Serious question. Do you have some kind of special smoke detector that would wake her up at night as she wouldn’t hear the regular one if there was a fire.

Sleeping when you can’t hear is great. I am SSD and sleep on my good ear. I don’t hear a thing.

my older sister has 2 cochlears as of 2023. we traveled to NYC last week & I wake up super early, I was trying to be super quiet to not wake her, until I remembered she's literally deaf w/out them.

im curious, how would alarms work? like, if she needed to wake up at a certain time. do her parents wake her up? and if that's the case, what would you do if her parents couldn't do that?

this makes me curious on what deaf parents do when they have a baby. is there a baby monitor that connects to a flashing light or some sort of vibration system?

Being a hard of hearing mom, I sleep with her next me in the bassinet. I don’t sleep with my hearing aids in. I don’t know what to do when she in her crib

I have a deaf daughter. when she doesn't want to listen to us, she closes her eyes 😂 she's 5 and sassy. she refuses to wear her cochlear implants though.
