Replying to @boblack ross Here’s a better angle of showing how the knee curls in to the centre of the body. I’m often asked (especially by those who train a different martial art to Muay Thai) why do you twist the knee over at the end of the strike?⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Before I go in to those reasons, first you have to understand that the knee still comes direct. It comes in a straight line, then turns over at the end. It isn’t brought from the side and swings in (there are different knees that are executed that way).⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ By doing this you’re making sure that both knees (left and right) strike the same point. If you kneed straight without the twist, the right knee would connect more to the left side of the body and the left knee would connect more to the right. This twist enables both knees to strike the centre of the stomach.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Also try to think of the twist similar to how you curl your knuckles over when you punch.
