@dr.vegan: Vegan gyros Ingredients: Pita 1 block of tofu marinade: 2 cloves, minced garlic 3 tbsp, lemon juice 1 tbsp, olive oil 1 tbsp, soy sauce 1 tbsp tomato paste seasoning -1 tsp dried oregano -1/2 tsp salt (or to taste) -1 tsp onion powder -1 tsp black pepper -1 tsp dried parsley flakes -1 tsp dried thyme -1 tsp sweet paprika powder -1 tsp ground cinnamon -1 tsp ground nutmeg Tztaziki: 1 cup, vegan yogurt 1/2 cup, grated cucumber 1 tbsp, lemon juice 1 tbsp, olive oil 1 clove, minced garlic Salt & pepper to taste Toppings: tomato onion lettuce fries (optional) Combine all the ingredients for the tztaziki and set aside. In a bowl, combine the ingredients for the marinade and pour it over the smoked tofu on a pan and cook on medium high for 7-10 mins until golden brown and crispy. To make the gyros, spread tzatziki on the pita and then add the tofu, vegetables, fries (optional), and another dollop of tzatziki.
