I actually found out it’s the opposite for bedrock (or Minecraft pe) because I had been mining my silk touch blocks and it was way faster closer, like way more faster

this happens cuz minecraft tried to make it where the further back you are the more power your pickaxe does to blocks so it breaks them faster

think the reason this works is cause Minecraft has some logic to it. so when your farther away you actually fully swing your pickaxe
