Here is my problem…these people want more cool, but here I am making 70k a year and I don't see any increase…so the value of my work is diminished because I now have to pay more for goods they sell.

I would welcome perspective to this. Yes, CEO make a ridiculous amount, but how much should a Starbucks person make versus, teacher, mechanic, electrician. There is a big balance here.

Starbucks start at 16/hr but a certified nursing assistant start at 17/hr in my area. Fast food joints/chains are STARTER jobs. Managers make a good living at those joints

i work at a coffee shop (not starbucks) but my take on this is coffee shops were never meant to be a living wage job, it’s supposed to be a job for teenagers who want spending cash

Start up your own coffee shop and you can pay yourself any thing you want.that’s how owning your own business works. And then you can pay your employees the same as your self. With NO risk.
