I volunteer helping the migrant community in Brooklyn. The system is insanely difficult to navigate. I’ve met some wonderful people but of course there are some bad eggs too.

I’m sure American homeless families living in shelters feel the same. They hoped once it was temporary, but help never comes for them, so the migrants can’t come here expecting to be treated special.
