Bro, it ain’t all about the gpa, it’s about your passion in something, the impact you had, and the challenge that the class you take had. MIT would rather take someone who took Ap physics but had a 3.7 gpa, loved helping the world (starting charity’s, small businesses so help out, etc…), and showing a lot of interest in what they do (collaborating with companies for research projects, doing your own projects that make an impact, experimental projects/things, etc..) than someone who took Ap calculus and Bc calculus with a 4.0 gpa, didn’t really do too much to help out the world, and showed that they really were a robot in what they do (try and be the best and do the hardest possible things that come to mind instead of reasonable and impactful things). A 4.5% acceptance rate doesn’t mean they hat you can’t get in, it’s about what you do to show MIT that you want to make an impact and what you do to show MIT to show that your interested.
