โ ๏ธ Yes, if you are trying to keep your waist small, there are certain exercises you do not want to do and this is one of them. But why? First off, you canโt spot reduce fat, I wish! Lol! Itโs 80% diet to reduce the fat around your waist. And second, when you work a muscle, it gets thicker and thicker overtime, right? Thatโs what muscles do, they grow which is a beautiful thing in places. ๐ But, the last thing you want is to get thicker in your midsection and end up looking like SpongeBob or a walking refrigerator. ๐จ๐คช Haha. Comment if youโd like a video on the other exercises to stay away from because there are more. So what do we do instead? Honestly, if you already lift weights consistently, your core is going to get hit from everything that you do. ๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ So really no need to do a lot of ab work, but if you do, then keep it to bodyweight. Nothing weighted to ensure that your midsection doesnโt get too thick. I never do direct oblique work, and the only thing I do for my abs consistently is stomach vacuums..
