Yes, I’ve been diagnosed. Yes, I’ve been through the depths. And I still stand by this: You benefit from staying stuck. If you didn’t, you’d change. Part of your work is uncovering what I call your self sabotage pay off and deciding which you want more: your stated goal or the payoff. You’re not blocked. You’re indecisive. Calling it “stuck” lets you delay the decision. That’s all it is… delay dressed up as confusion. You don’t need motivation when your self-respect is non-negotiable. When the standard is set, action isn’t a debate. It’s a default. You teach people how to treat you. You’re allowing that situationship, friendship, or boss to handle you like that. Stop performing confusion about why. Self-pity is just disguised entitlement. It’s the belief that you deserve exception because you’ve suffered. Sounds soft, but it’s manipulative. You want life to adjust around your pain. It won’t. You have a victim mentality. Get rid of it. The longer you narrate your powerlessness, the more you reinforce it. You’re not special bc of your pain. Power isn’t found in your story. It’s in what you do next. Most “healing” is just prolonged rumination. You confuse sitting with feelings for doing the work. Real healing rewires behavior. It’s forward motion, not emotional analysis cosplay. We’re all lying to ourselves to get through life. That’s human. But some lies rot you from the inside out. Be honest. But not cruel. Apologize to your inner child for holding onto the wound like a personality trait. Then move. Pain is real. It just doesn’t get to run your life.
