The worst is leaving piles in the fitting room. Just put it on the rack if you don’t want it. Don’t throw it on the floor.

When I worked at Target in the early 2000s I was getting paid $7.25p/h and they made us stay until 2-3am if the store wasn't completely sorted and front faced. It felt like I was trapped in H*LL

I don’t understand how people just rip up full tables and racks when they go into a store…maybe bc I worked in retail for years but I just don’t ever see how you do this!

The tables can’t last 5 mins man. Every time I’m zoning and they see me fix the folds they mess it up right in front of me they’re throwing hangers and clothes on the floor I’m so tired

management also makes us put so much on the floor even when there’s clearly no room which leads to people just knocking stuff over and not picking it up bc there’s no room for it anyway

when i worked at target we didn’t have time to fix these messes regardless if we wanted to or not, i would just shove stuff to the side to get my cart through bc there was so much pressure on me to get stuff done

even worse as a worker when you perfectly zone a section and then get rediculed by a leader because your zone is “messy” when in reality you did zone and not even two minutes later a guest RUINS IT

I work at Michael’s and we literally clean an aisle and not even 20 minutes later, there’s things set on random shelves and yarn thrown everywhere and coffee cups leaking on stuff. We don’t have time.

if you buy something from target, and return it, especially clothing, it will NEVER be put back on the floor, it will sit in backrooms till it’s out of season and then we defect it and put in salvage

Shoppers have free rein to be slobs. Tell them to pick up something they threw purposely on the floor and expect to be disciplined or terminated

style closer here. i walked through my area 5 mins before close and it was spotless. i clock out and my tl yells at me over the walkie for things being on the floor. it took people FIVE minutes.

I work for big lots. we physically cannot recover. between how busy it's been & these crazy customers it's impossible. I'll clean an aisle&in two seconds it's a disaster again

it's because spending like an hour zoning an area in apparel can be undone in half 15 seconds because of how shitty the material is on half of these shirts, I'm literally setting the just folded shirt down like it's a tower of cards
