I nearly got left by Southwest Airlines twice once going from O’Hare to Long Beach and the other are coming home from Long Beach to O’Hare. They 100% got me on flights home within the same time frame

Former operations major airline. If one of the many systems we use fails ie crews, load planning, pax departure system all operations cease. We had one a few years ago. Helpless until restored.
