You don’t understand how much I needed this subhanallah. I legit cried to Allah 2 days ago during dua bc I didn’t know how to forgive myself & I didn’t want Allah to view me the way I viewed myself.

I really wish i was raised with more of a Allah is forgiving lens than a Allah should be feared lens. Like as an adult im struggling still but im trying. That lens is diff between trying and feeling

I think another reason people don’t see it this way is because we as an Ummah place a lot of emphasis on sin and repentance which is important but we don’t consider what we gain from GOOD acts
