This is love! I work in the DME field specifically CPAPs and a night or 2 with boiled non-distilled water is fine. Just be sure and clean everything well.

Boiling the water made the impurities more concentrated. You would need to capture and cool the steam.

Unless your water is crazy hard, it won’t hurt the machine to use tap water for a night.

It only gets evaporated from the chamber. Just wash the mineral deposit from the chamber. Won't hurt machine at all.

An important tip from my brother in law: never do this in regular glass! only ever do this with @Pyrex or the glass will shatter!!! He knows from personal experience!! 💡🧐

ICU nurse here - please don’t use tap water!! It can give you a nasty pneumonia, we see it all the time in the ICU, and the minerals are bad for your machine

You can just use regular water. Sure some buildup will happen after a few days, but you can easily get that out with a 5m vinegar soak

Lower case pyrex is not the same as all caps PYREX, so tell him to be careful boiling in lower case, can easily shatter (had it happen to me)
