@sprinklesofsistahood: As I sit this Christmas thinking about the past year, it really has been a challenging one. Having had a Hysteroscopy D&C and fibroid removal in May, beginning hormone therapy, the loss of my dear cousin Muriel this past September after a 3-year battle with cancer at the age of 43. I'm still battling to forgive myself as I wasn't able to attend her funeral because I couldn't get time off of work. Then, to add insult to injury, in October, I was diagnosed with Endometrial Hyperplasia, and so I made the decision to have a total hysterectomy. Then what happened next... the results of the presidential election.Lord Have Mercy! I'm still very disappointed, but life goes on, right? So now it's Christmas Day, and I'm happy to report that I'm 8 days post surgery and healing well. I'm fortunate that my family and friends have helped me through this crazy year. I love them dearly. So listen, we all face tough times but have faith that you're going to come out on the other side. Nobody said this life was going to be easy.
