@malayali.poliyalle_: ലയാളത്തിന്റെ പ്രീയപ്പെട്ട എംടി ക്ക് വിട 💔 - കോഴിക്കോട് ∙ മലയാളത്തിന്റെ ഒരേയൊരു എംടി കഥാവശേഷനായി. രാത്രി പത്തോടെ ബേബി മെമ്മോറിയൽ ആശുപത്രിയിലായിരുന്നു എം.ടി.വാസുദേവൻ നായരുടെ (91) അന്ത്യം.  കഫക്കെട്ടും ശ്വാസതടസ്സവും വർധിച്ചതിനെത്തുടർന്നു 16നു പുലർച്ചെയാണ് എംടിയെ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചത്. എംടിയോടുള്ള ആദരസൂചകമായി 26, 27 തീയതികളിൽ സംസ്ഥാന സർക്കാർ  ഔദ്യോഗിക ദുഃഖാചരണം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു.  മലയാള സിനിമയിലെ ക്ലാസിക്കുകളിലൊന്നായി എണ്ണപ്പെടുന്ന നിർമാല്യം ഉൾപ്പെടെ 6 സിനിമകളും രണ്ട് ഡോക്യുമെന്ററികളും സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. 2005 ൽ രാജ്യം പത്മഭൂഷൺ നൽകി ആദരിച്ചു. ജ്ഞാനപീഠം, എഴുത്തച്ഛൻ പുരസ്കാരം, വയലാർ അവാർഡ്, കേന്ദ്ര സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി അവാർഡ്, കേരള സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി അവാർഡ്, വള്ളത്തോൾ പുരസ്കാരം, ജെ.സി. ദാനിയേൽ പുരസ്കാരം എന്നിവയടക്കം എണ്ണമറ്റ ബഹുമതികൾ നേടി. തിരക്കഥയ്ക്കുള്ള ദേശീയ ചലച്ചിത്ര അവാർഡ് നാലു തവണയും സംസ്ഥാന ചലച്ചിത്ര അവാർഡ് 11 തവണയും നേടി. മികച്ച സംവിധായകനുള്ള സംസ്ഥാന ചലച്ചിത്ര പുരസ്കാരം മൂന്നു തവണ ലഭിച്ചു. - Kozhikode: MT Vasudevan Nair, Malayalam’s master of lyrical nostalgia, died on Wednesday in Kozhikode.
