very informative. stop using CE in place of AD. it'll make you much more credible.

the funny thing is that wizard means “one who is wise” and druid probably means “one with firm knowledge”, which is the opposite of their spellcasting abilities in d&d

so you're saying that a wizards spellcasting ability modifier should be wisdom instead of intelligence?

Now it makes sense why in Warhammer, the Planet of the Sorcerers is called Sortiarius. It also makes the naming seem lazy lmao. Thanks!

I'm Iranian and haven't heard magush in that way. The historical word we see in our old books is Mogh (مُغ) whish is probably transfored by Arabic from the word Mag.

I read that the Arabs in Iberia would call Vikings ‘Al Majus’ meaning fire worshipper or something like that, would that word originate from the ‘Magúš’ too then?

the 3 kings from bible were originally wise men but an artist didn't know how to depict wisdom so make them kings. Wise men were originally Magi but scollas didn't want pagan priests visiting Jesus.

In Spanish the word for magician is still Mago with the plural Magos, and while we dropped the “á” it’s still pronounced the same as if it had it like many other words that did for simplicity’s sake
